Importance of French in school and work

Historically France and the French language have had an enormous influence over American society. France was the United States’ first ally. French thought played a dominant role among the founders of the United States in the 18th century, and it continues to shape America today through the influence of such intellectual currents as post-structuralism and post-modernism. In the humanities and the social sciences, many of the most important writings have come from France. Students and researchers who know French have access to these works for several years before they are translated into English. Many significant works are never translated and remain accessible only to those who know the language. In addition, most graduate schools require knowledge of at least one foreign language, and French remains the most commonly used language after English.

When employers and universities look at applicants, they do not start looking at the bottom of the list to see who has done only the minimal amount of requirements necessary or taken the easiest route available, they start at the top of the list and look for those students who have risen above the rest. Lo que si es indispensable es que al finalizar el proceso les demuestres que tienes el dinero en efectivo, de otra forma no te daran la visa.

Yo metí mis papeles usando los servicios de un abogado canadiense que pertenece a una de las barras de abogados de Canadá y aunque desde un principio logre demostrar que tenía una cuenta de ahorros con $10,000 dólares americanos mi abogado me dijo que al finalizar el proceso podía enviar otra carta del banco que demostrara que tengo $13,500 dólares americanos ya que en mi caso somos 4 de familia. Con todo este asunto de la letrina se demostró perfectamente porque los latinoamericanos nunca nos ponemos de acuerdo y siempre estamos tratando de pisotear al prójimo y de coartar la libertad de expresión de quien piensa diferente y de quien no tiene pelos en la lengua para llamar las cosas como le vengan en gana.

Este fenómeno es el que a generado que haya siempre gente que quiera pasar sobre la ideología de los otros y según mi punto de vista también es una de las causas de que existan tantos dictadores y gobiernos totalitarios en Latinoamérica.

Yo he hecho el IELTS y el TOEFL.

Existen tablas de equivalencias en internet entre el IELTS y el TOEFL y según mi experiencia una calificación de 6.5 puntos en el IELTS equivale a 603 puntos en el TOEFL tradicional o a 250 en el TOEFL por computadora.

Una calificación de 7 en el IELTS equivale a 627 en el TOEFL tradicional o a 263 en el TOEFL por computadora.
