It takes almost ONE year to process auto insurance claims. Till then the
victims have to make do with whatever resources they can gather. In case
the claim is rejected, the victim is left high and dry. Typically only
part of the claim is reimbursed, %age reimbursed is even less than India. There is a HUGE surplus of IT workers, office staff, accountants,
doctors, engineers etc in Canada. For every job vacancy there are
atleast 50 applicants. The interview processing does not take place
within 2-3 days or a week or 10 days. It takes atleast 3 visits/3
interviews spread over a month or more to recruit a person (unlike the
US where one gets hired/processed much much faster). That is the level
of efficiency and the demand for work here. So one loses out waiting for
the results. Routine wastage of time and money and confirmation of
results even for normal non IT jobs is atleast 20 days. Employers call
and keep applicants waiting and make them come for only 5-10 minutes
wasting the entire day as hours go in travelling across the megacities. One has to COMPULSORY pay a hundred dollars or more just to get a
certificate from an agency such as WES or the univ of Toronto etc to
have educational qualifications be considered on par with Canadian
Univs. This 100 dollar fee is an unnecessary wastage.Cost of living–
Auto insurance rates are almost as high as the amount going in average
instalments for the auto loan. An auto is a necessity as work is not
located near the place of residence and daily travel is estimated on the
average to be almost a hundred to 150 kilometres or more. The strain on
paying monthly instalments for the auto loan and the insurance is huge.
Besides one gets a full driving licence only after a year or two and
after spending a few hundred dollars on the exam and the retraining
classes. Till an auto is not available, one has to take up extremely low
paying jobs.Public transit is only available in special areas of the downtown cores
of big cities, smaller cities have no bus/public transportation systems
worth the name. This is one reason nobody wants to go to smaller towns
which are much colder as well besides having fewer facilities such as
libraries and healthcare, opportunities for work/jobs, internet access etc.The jobs available and needed here in Canada are only of 3 general types
(robotic manual labor or skilled trades like carpenters, welders,
plumbers, mechanics, auto workers etc or entrepeneurial class) which is
causing the exodus of even whites from small towns, villages to big
cities and from there across the US border. The Canadian economy is
haemorrhaging badly as every year more skilled whites leave for the US
permanently. There is a classic license raj practiced here by the chambers of
commerce and the government. Consumer items are costlier in Canada
because of protectionist policies historically followed. There are 2 specially underprivileged classes in Canada besides new
immigrants–the aboriginals and the farm workers from Mexico who come on
temporary work visas. The Mexicans’ working conditions are appalling and
they are paid even less than the minimum wage and abused/exploited
mercilessly. Because of the language barrier and illiteracy they don’t
know who to complain to and how. They live in farms and cannot have any
access to the remote townships from their location. The law only works for the established classes in case of consumer
complaints or labour irregularities. Procedures for complaint redressal
are even more tiresome than India. Statistics for complaints recieved
and processed to completion with correspondingThere is a super rich class of white Canadians and a middle class and a
very poor class of the underprivileged. The govt has a lot of power thru the use of the RCMP and the taxation
system. Canada has almost no powers for the municipal level governments
but a lot of power within the 13 state govts and the federal govt. This
situation is hopefully changing.Obfuscation of data, reports, laws, procedures and use of wordy
nonsensical language is a hallmark of the govt. It generates 13000 or
73,000 reports annually which nobody can read or process. This is one of
the key reasons for the mismanagement –too much meaningless reports,
data, studies etc. No action orientation.Labour exploitation has reached new heights for the disorganised
sector– employment agencies routinely send new immigrants to different
work areas/factories of the city so that workers do not have time or
energy to settle down and organise themselves.Desi immigrants are even worse exploiters of the new immigrants since
they have also been ragged in the same way earlier. Its a vicious cycle
of exploitation which feeds on itself. Gang violence, inner city youth,
innercity squalor are some of the emerging societal changes now underway
besides increasing corruption in the predominantly white and
racist/insensitive/chauvinistic police force. There is no dearth of non profit agencies of dubious value. No
centralised monitoring system exists to check whether they are really
effective.Govt schemes are never really monitored and Chair of the Treasury Board
Reg Alcock had the key to streamlining the system for 12 years but never
did. He is still trying to understand it and the gullible Canadian
public will elect him once again to carry on the sham of governance.Public monies are wasted on even larger scale than in India in
meaningless maintenance and construction contracts.
and other govt schemes which are similar to the
sycophancy/nepotism/corruption/money laundering/plum contracts going to
the ruling party supporters/financiers.There are only 2 political parties which interchange power among
themselves and have the superclass of bankers and the superrich as
supporters. Desi immigrants do not vote with their brains or do not have
any. they tend to ghettoise and be exploited by the 2 parties. Merits of
the public policies and track records of previous governments are not
taken into consideration at all during voting or after. This way
immigrants cut their own foot and are given inconsequential and
meaningless sops every election. The media is controlled and raises the bogey of Canadian sovereignity,
idealism, good record of Canada as a peace keeper etc while millions are
exploited at home. The poor are used as cannon fodder for crony type military
interventionist schemes of the US. A case in point is the insensitivity
shown by the various governments for the last 20 years to the survivors
of agent orange and other chemical warfare casualties/guinea pigs of the
Canadian military.Kussh
