Pobre Tim, solo quiere ver comentarios negativos

Por que dices ese minipais, esa isla volcanica, aaahhh ya entiendo es que tu eres un wanna be, interesante, el Tim tambien puede decir que te quedes con tu pais lleno de gays, @!#$ y homeless, ves no suena bien verdad?, pero como tu dices no hay lugar perfecto y para ser un pais del primer mundo, con un alto no se y el otro no se que mas tiene bastante homeless, no crees?, ya se si lo comparas con latinoamerica esta mejor, pero recuerda latinoamerica es del tercer mundo , esto supuestamenteno.
La diferencia entre tu y por ejemplo yo, es que yo no idealizo paises, ni lugares, ni gente, yo creo que latinoamerica es un lugar hermoso en el mundo, con gente buena y mala como todo el mundo, pero hermano aunque lo desees nunca seras Canadiense, solo un newcomer cualquiera en las calles de Canada.
Algunas personas que dicen que latinoamerica es esto que es aquello, en total es una porqueria, deberian pensar en los muchos europeos que llegaron a paises como Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, los cuales salieron en situaciones muy dificiles despues de la guerra, de no conseguir trabajo, de ser perseguidos, criminalidad, los cuales la mayoria siempren hablan bien de los paises que dejaron atras, de sus costumbres y siempre no importa lo que pase esos paises que los vieron nacer siempre estaran en su corazon y su boca. Pero los latinoamericanos y tengo que decirlo aunque me duela en especial el venezolano, solo escupe estupideces y odio hacia su pais (metanselo en su cabezota nunca, pero nuca podran tener unos papeles que digan nacido en Canada), asi que un poco de humildad y amor hacia los paises que dejaron atras no vendria mal.

Saludos Miguel y de verdad y lo vuelvo a decir, me importa un pepino los insultos, solo hago mis comentarios para que los latinos revisen, pregunten y saquen sus conclusiones, no que vayan pensando que todo es Disney aqui, ademas solo observa quienes son la mayoria que te insulta, los gloriosos hijos de Bolivar quienes mas……….

Bueno que puedo decir otro insulto mas y adivinen de quien para variar un venezolano, ya me parecia un poco extrano que fuera un mexicano, quien mas insultaria por este escudo virtual si no uno.

Editorial: Strong ties bind Liberals to U.N. corruption scandal

It is likely to become the largest bribery and embezzlement scandal in world history.

But judging from the coverage given to it in the mainstream media and the insistence by Paul Martin‘s Liberals that the investigation should not resonate, chances are you are in the dark as to what this multi-billion dollar fiasco is all about.

So far, says a U.S. Senate investigation — one of five under way across the globe — former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is alleged to have skimmed US$21.3 billion (C$27 billion) from a UN humanitarian-aid program — which allowed Iraq to sell oil while it was under sanctions between 1996 and 2003.

Connected to this massive corruption is Canadian serial entrepreneur Maurice Strong, our prime minister‘s key advisor since the 1960s.

Strong, who has stepped aside pending the investigations broke United Nations rules by putting his stepdaughter on his diplomatic payroll, the UN says. She has also quit.

In addition Strong was linked to a South Korean lobbyist who is suspected of bribing UN officials with Iraqi money.

That lobbyist is South Korean businessman Tongsun Park who invested money in Cordex Petroleum, a Calgary oil company that was run by Strong‘s son Frederick.

Cordex is partly owned by Paul Martin‘s family company, The Canada Steamship Lines Group Inc. (Montreal, Canada).

As the investigation grows, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, a huge Martin fan, is also trying hard to stop the fingers pointing directly at him.

His son Benon Sevan, was in charge of the UN Oil for Food program, the humanitarian effort at the scandal‘s center and there are allegations that he was on the take.

Canadians known for their international humanitarian efforts are strangely silent as this corruption scandal unfolds.

When questions were raised in Parliament about the Canadian role in the scandal, the Liberal government‘s response was that Strong has denied the allegations and that they should not resonate across this country.

“I can tell you that Mr. Strong has absolutely denied these allegations and this country should be very proud of the role Mr. Maurice strong has played over the years working systematically for making progress at the United Nations institutions.”

So why do the Liberals, who are fighting tooth and nail to cling to power over the Adscam scandal, not want this UN corruption case to resonate across Canada?

Maybe it is because the key actors in this movie are all buddies.

After Paul Martin graduated from the University of Toronto law school, it was Maurice Strong, who was then president of Power Corp. who hired him as a special assistant.

In 1969, Martin became a Power Corp. Vice President and five years later the Prime Minister was appointed chairman and CEO of Canada Steamship Lines (CSL), owned by Power Corp.

Power Corp. one of Canada‘s largest corporate giants controls the European-based BNP Paribas bank, which the U.N. chose to administer the food for oil program and which reportedly received nearly US$1 billion (C$1.2 billion) for its efforts.

Now it has become known that the man appointed to get to the bottom of this corruption is Paul Volcker, who was a one-time director of Power Corp. run by Paul Desmarais.

Paul Martin, as finance minister while this fiasco was taking place, worked under Jean Chretien whose daughter France is married to Desmarais‘ son, Andre Desmarais.

It is no wonder that Paul Martin‘s Liberals want to keep a lid on the U.N. scandal in Canada because there are strong ties that bind them to this unprecedented dishonesty.

Why are Canadians, especially Western ones, so accepting of the rot in Ottawa. We, especially in the West, have our wealth stolen and expropriated (Alberta with the National Energy Program in the early ’80s), even now every litre of gas purchased has a gas tax component shipped to Ottawa, and everything we buy has a 7% tax on it–save bare, food essentials–which goes to Ottawa. There should be demonstrations on the streets. Now, we have the PM, just like the last one, using this "stolen" money to buy votes. Can you believe it: Martin is now offering to give back some of our "stolen" money by bribing the Mayors of our cities with a portion of the gas tax! Of course, Mr. Martin has his shipping assets safely earning a return in the Barbados, paying only 1% income tax! Why are Canadians accepting of having the Government confiscate their wealth with no return: no fish, no army, no indians–more bureaucrats than administered, etc., etc. Meanwhile, the PM’s wealth suffers not from his spending our money. Let’s us separate and rid ourselves of this malignant lot.

Well it is obvious that the allegations coming from the Gomery Inquiry are but a tip of the iceberg. It is also a fair statement that the people of Canada have been financially RAPED.!! These actions by our left wing socialist tax & spend gang will only strengthen the desires of Western Canadians to Separate from the country. As a Taxpayer that sees a good chunk of my wages go … I for one support that notion wholeheartedly.

This is the best analysis of the this story I have seen. Your editorial could explain why Belinda Stronach was called on to prop up the Liberals, so the Liberal government can help keep the UN Food for Oil scandal underwraps, especially here in Canada.
