    A national industry leader in roof coatings manufacturing is looking for an experienced, hands-on Environmental Engineer to support its manufacturing plants across the country. The successful Engineer’s primary responsibilities will include the following:

    * Provide overall environmental engineering support to the
    Company’s manufacturing plants
    * Maintain compliance with federal and state environmental
    regulations
    * Track compliance and make recommendations for change as needed
    * Provide training to plant level operations management to improve
    understanding of environmental regulations
    * Conduct compliance evaluations and assist in developing
    corrective action plans
    * Develop a system for standardizing environmental/safety
    engineering practices across the organization with proper documentation

    Qualified candidates should have a BS in Environmental Engineering or the like. Candidates should have 7+ years experience as an Environmental Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a multi-site organization. He/She should have strong experience with OSHA, ANSI, MSDS’s, and other safety-related regulatory issues pertaining to manufacturing, including waste management and safety training. All applicants should be self-starters and be willing to travel up to 40% of the time. Candidates should also have experience in developing company-wide environmental engineering programs focused on safety and compliance to minimize liability. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and all levels.
